This hotel was one of my top picks during my trip. The location was perfect, right in the center of town. The room was very clean and had a pleasant smell. The breakfast served was good and there was a coffee machine which was available 24/7. The staff was friendly and the internet connection was strong, so I was able to work online. this hotel was a great place to stay and I enjoyed my time here.

Can't fault the hotel in any way.

Room in an old citiy tower

Athough I wished to get a quite room, it was a bit noisy from the street traffic, since my room went to the street.

It was convenient to hiking in the Appenzell region. It was not difficult to find. The staff were polite and friendly.

The hotel rooms faced into a courtyard/street which you would assume would be quiet and peaceful. On the contrary, it was located in an area where local young men frequented the bars and sat outside directly under the bedroom windows laughing and drinking into the wee hours of the night, and we got very little rest as the hotel is not air conditioned and the windows had to be left open for air. Hotel is rated 3 star, however I would not consider this any more than a 2 star based on the hotel room appointments.

the breakfast buffet provided a good choice of hot and cold food. the complimentary Wi, Fi made it easy for us to stay connected to friends and family. the location of the hotel was convenient as it was near a number of restaurants and shops.

The self, check, in process was a bit complicated and took longer than we expected. the rooms were a bit cold, and the heating system was not very effective.

Wonderful location and magnificent views. Very friendly and helpful staff, and if you like Indian food then their restaurant will be to your liking! Big room with all the usual facilities you would expect, it's a pity I could only have the one night there.

The breakfast was nice and the staff was attentive and friendly. The hotel had a great location in the middle of town, making it easy to walk to eateries. the rooms were well-stocked with a fridge and lounge area.

The rooms were quite hot, making it difficult to sleep with the windows closed. there was noise from the street that disrupted our sleep.

The location was great with plenty of restaurants within a 5-minute walk, and public transportation stops nearby. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. the staff gave us good service and the breakfast provided was of good quality.

The noise level from outside was unbearable and made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
